Gordon and Debby Rosenberg, poets, media artists & music hosts

We’ve both been dedicated music lovers forever! Both of us discovered radio music early in life. For Gordon, that meant even before the advent of rock ‘n roll, before even Elvis Presley came along, when the transistor radio was brand new! Imagine that! They had music way back then!! The simple family monaural ‘sound system’ in the party room became his best friend. Yes, that was pretty much before stereo, too!

Debby’s early musical influence, while growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, came as 45 rpm records in a mixture of Motown and Billboard Top-40. “AM ruled the transistor radio which was pressed to my ear long after my bedtime curfew, and my lullabies were sung by The Beatles and The Supremes.”

Luckily we each discovered early in life there were those born to play music and those born to listen…and we’re both proud to proclaim ourselves as listeners, the born-to-be audience for those of greater talent. Listening to good music is certainly on our short list of greatest joys. Always been that way for both of us and we see no reason to change it now. If we have an addiction in this world – let it be music!

We like most genres of music, and especially like to support the growing movement of independent artists. Music is a way we feel connected with others, through its rhythms and lyrics which touch a part of each of us. It’s been said that sound is the rhythm that formed the universe. If that’s so, then our ageless human attempts to imitate that sound through our voices and our instruments put us in touch with all of creation.

We believe music is the true vibration of the soul. We’re constantly amazed at the power and expression music is for us. This is what keeps us listening to music, making music podcasts and using it to enhance all of our creative efforts. Because, well, music is everything! … along with poetry and nature and love and all the rest that’s also everything (smile)

Rock on,
Debby & Gordon
